This pan is made from commercial grade non-stick textured black carbon steel and a heavy-gauge riveted steel handle with a comfortable grip.
Carbon steel can withstand very high temperatures which is perfect for searing and sealing in flavours and nutrients. It can be used on all cook tops including induction, and metal utensils are safe to use.
The tiny circle embossed texture of the inside of the pan gives it a natural non-stick property so you never have to worry about the quality of the non-stick coating or of it being scratched.
Prior to use, seasoning is required by simply taking a paper towel and wiping the interior of the pan with a non-flavoured cooking oil and once this is done place the pan on the stove and heat up.
To clean, handwash with hot water and mild detergent if desired. Thoroughly dry with a clean cloth.
